0405 Myanmar Trip 3

*26 Dec 2004*

AM 1:00, after sleeping for 3 hours, I woke up. All were sleeping. I just think it was already morning, becuase normally they will play until morning. And NL told me that someone lose a lot so stoped and slept. Can't sleep so NL and I went out and walk up to the square again. That was a great view. The whole square was full with people. But they still left some way for us to walk to the pagoda. Being midnight most were sleeping and still some were chatting. After talking a few time and we went back to the Inn. But our sleeping place was already taken over by other 7. That time KKS woke up and NL wanted to sleep so NL took over the place of KKS. Being no place to lie down, KKS and I went to the front of Inn. The air blew very cool and no girl for watching although some people crossed in front of us at that AM 4:00. We chose to go to Square again. After prayed, we backed to the Inn. Just took a look on our room and we saw we don't have place to lie down anymore. So we just walked towards to "Mot Soe Mountain" and found a helicopter court and we started our gossip.

The sun is rising from the east. (I had never had from the west..he.he) So we stoped our gossip and back to the Inn to wake them up, because we needed to start going down to the hill before PM 2:00 when our bus will departure from "Kin Pon Sa Kan". Took a breakfast, made a donation, prayed for all and we started our back way from "Kyit Hti Yo". Being going down, this time we were very fast. Even can Smile to the people who was going up. On the way we saw ATH second brother Kyaw Kayw Sai and his girlfriend (ex now). {Did I talk too much? - Forgive me}. After arrived to "Ya Tae Mountain Bus Terminal" we needed to seach a car to go down again. Starting our war again. We just said, who can get on a car, just follow. No need to care other. Because this is almost impossible to be 9 people in car. But lucky, after I and some were on car, we searched other, who knowed all our 9 were on the same car (Buddish Help) . This is a really nice experience.

(Do you notice that the date and the time... it was 26 Dec 2004 around AM 9:00) This is the time A Big Earthquake happened at India Ocean near Indonesia. The earthquake triggered a series of devastating TSUNAMIS along the coasts. A lot of people in Myanmar felt this earthquake. But we just dont know because of running down to the Hill or it didn't have earthquake around Kyi Hti Yo, no one of us felt it. Anyway it was really a sad history. It killed more than 225,000 people in eleven countries and also the ninth deadlinest natural disaster in modern history. Just a word "Sad".

Arrived "Kin Pon Sa Kan" we just went to the restaurant where our bus nearby. After had a lunch, we started our shopping. There were a lof of "Yo" which make by a various kind of fruit. When walked back to the bus, we found there was a Bus Line full with people and they called us to departure. We just said "No" but I was wonder how much is the bus fees and I asked. He said "200 kyats". Wow.. that was cheap. Of couse that is impossible for us to take that kind of bus (Hilux). But ATH told me that if next time, we can try. (May be he just kidding me with serious face.) The bus was starting to leave the place, I just looked back and though "I will come back again later". I really like this place. This is my 8th time been to Kyit Hti Yo. Being previous 56 Hours, I just slept 3 hours. Can't handle anymore and I was sleeping all the way to the Ygn. The bus will stop some famous pagodas around the way. I just didn't know, the bus was moving or stopping, just having a sound sleep.

Panda Hotel
I was finding a place to sleep. KKS and his sis asked me to sleep at their house. But I just don't want to bother other. So KKS took me with his car and we went to the Centra Hotel. We 2 just walked to the receiption and told that is there any room vacancy. She asked me back, "Will you over night?" {Hum... I just wonder renting a hotel is for sleeping. Do I need to wake up at Midnight and check out??} I said "Yes,", and she said "No, no more room". And I told her actually I was sending an email and confirm the room already. But I just forget to print it out. She said "If you can show me, then we can work". " Any internet for me to access, so I can print or show you". "NO". What a nice customer relationship!! That is 3 stars Hotel in Ygn. Forget it. So we went to Panda Hote. Oh.. this time very nice. They have room just 25000 kyat per night. Not bad including with breakfast. So I just chose it and make an appointment for tomorrow with KKS and say good bye. {Because we will have another trip on tomorrow .. what a plan full of AT .. he.he}

0405 Myanmar Trip 2

{Kyit Hti Yo Pagoda}

*25 Dec 2004*
Since NL and I didn't sleep at all, We can't say we woke up. When arrived Kin Pon Sa Kan, that was almost am 2:00. They arrange a restaurant which have some places for us to lie down and take a rest. We chose a place at upstair and prepared to sleep. Being so exciting of my mind, I can't sleep. So I went to outside with ATH. Unbelievable ther were too many people outside and some shops were already opened. Being about AM 2:00, the night was totally dark, but still a lot of people were going up to the hill. Some even didn't have any Light or Fire Stick. We just walked a few and backed to the restaurant. Just lay down for a few minute and still can't sleep. At that time NL woke up and said he want to go around. Why not, I can't sleep and I didn't want to lie down also. This time we went to other side, where the Car Terminal which can go up to the hill of "Ya Tae Mountain". Although that time is about AM 3:00, they said the road will open at AM 5:00. Most of the cars were already full and many people were searching for a vacant car. That time we felt we must also, otherwise we can't catch the 1st serious of car, then we would very late. So we went back to the restaurant, and woke all up. Wow, there were too crowd at Terminal like Hungry Ants searching Cake. After trying to get on 4~5 cars, we felt so tired. Lucky we found a car which have front seat. And they said it can be sit 6 people. We so happy because we have 9 people and to get a place for 3 people at back is earier a lot. Don't know why before the car started moving, we all 9 people were at the front of the car. I think we paid it for 15,000 kyats. Phyo Phyo and his 4 friends sat at behind. KKS, NL, ATH and me sat at the front. But the place really small enough for 4 big boys sit horizontally. When the car moved, the road was so terrible bad. I just felt that we like putting 9 people in a Can and shake shake. So finally, being as a tiny guy, I was sitting on ATH and KKS legs. There was no place for my legs to touch the bottom. So the whole body of mine including my legs were on their legs. As my bones are so sharp, they should be uncomfortable. But for me, I were like sitting on a Sofa.

The road was blight with the car light. Suddenly the car stop. And the driver said, we arrive. What? Only I can see is Darkness. I was thinking "Are you kidding me?", "I had been to Ya Tae Mountain Terminal before, at least must have some shops and light, right?". Before my thinking finished, the driver said "Too much cars were lining, we can't go inside the Bus Terminal.". Awww... we went down from the car and searching our Bags. Don't know why all the car switch off their head light. Really enviromental people they are, didn't waste any fuel. Even we can't see anything clearly, we can felt we were surrounding by a lot of peoples and talking to us. Robber?? No no. People who want to help you with charges. Actually they are luggage carrier. I heard "15,000 for all Luggage". I just don't know how to respond and heard another voice "12,000". I started confuess, so I asked NL with chinese, "how much is the normal price?". He told me "I don't know". Actually there were a lot of voice like in the center of Tenders. Sure, we were the tender goods. Suddenly heard "5,000". Oh.. why not. we were the smart consumer. Just counting, we had 9 pieces of luggage, only about 520 per luggage. In real, still at that time, we didn't know who gave this price. Other bidder were going away with some unlikely word like "Crazy, that price was too low." Because of noon sence people are leaving, we saw a child about 13~15 age beside us. Just wondering how can he carried that 9 pieces?? In real, he can't so we just give him 6 luggages and other 3 we brough by ourself. My coat is useful because we were on the mountain and that is about AM 5:00. We started to see the sun light. How a good morning being in the first days of Myanmar Trip.

After having some breakfast at Bus Terminal and we started to walk to our designation "Kyit Hti Yo". After a few 10 minutes, Phyo Phyo and his friends were disappear from our eyes because they were really younger than us. I started to feel that hot and tired. I hadn't do any exercise for many years since I was in HK. And felt that my coat is heavy enough to carry. I just shouting that "Want to hire a carrier to carr it." Of couse no one care ...who will care this crazy shouting guy. We knew that we must buy Mountain Stick and went to a shop and ask. 200Kyats ? Expensive? YEAP must cheapper for a next shop. Finally we reached our 2 Lions . That means we reached where we went to be. It was the enterance of "Kyit Hti Yo". We found our carrier there and started moving to the Sqare. AM 7:00 That is really nice. We choose a place to sit down and planning for the sleeping place. Why don't I say Hotel? Because there are only 2 hotels at the Mountain. Most people will choose to sleep at Restaurant. Since many many years ago, when we went there, we just chose restaurant. The rule was simple, "If you eat there, they give you place to sleep." That all restaurants were built by Wood and Bamboo. Before we arrived this time, few months ago, a big fire destroy and now all were new building. But the bad thing is, the rule didn't work anymore. Eat is eat, Sleep and Sleep. They seperate the charges. Being at Christmas, all prices are high as Sky, we had thinked to be slept at Square. But finally we chose a Model. A small and tiny room for 6 people, we tried to sleep with 9 people. But it was no problem for us. We can call this is a Inn, becuase no restaurant included.

After taking a rest about an hour, we decided to go to another pagoda "Kyaut Htap Gyi". It was a pagoda that built at the top of one Big Stone, which is on another Big Stone. It was about 1 and half hours from our Inn. We had our lunch at a restaurant and staring our trip to "KHG". It was not that fun like before. Befause at before the way to "KHG" is cwroded. You can see the people go and come, just pass side by side. Now only about 10 mintues, you will see another group. Anyway, we arrived safety and take a few rest. Then backed to Kyit Hti Yo. When arrived about our Inn, we went to eat "A Kyaw = Deep Fried shop". That was nice, although not very clean, very delicious. And we went up again to the square. This time the square was already Full with people and almost can't walk. This is a free place to sleep. But you need to fight with the weather (cold and wind).

After taking some photos, we went down to the pagoda named "Kyaut Tan Man - Stone Boat". Because the pagoda was built on a stone which like a boat. There are many many pagodas like this. Like Dagon Pagoda, Frog Pagoda which were on the way of Kyaut Htap Gyi. And went to a tea shop, which was very nice. Almost every time I went to Kyit Hti Yo, I went there. After that back to have our dinner and to the Inn. And we started our greatest job that played Playing Card. When we travelled, we would bring a pack of Playing Card. That was an essential thing. After playing a few minute, I felt I can hold on. Because that was already pm 10 and also my continue non sleeping for 40 hours since 24 Dec morning AM 6:00 woke up and went to HK Airpot, I didn't sleep until this time. So I said, "I will sleep and when you all want to go to square again, wake me up." Oh.. finally, I can sleep and I slept. Some were playing, some were sleeping.

0405 Myanmar Trip 1

A Trip to Myanmar *24 Dec 2004~7 Jan 2005*

This is not my first time to go back to Myanmar sicne I come to HK. It can say 2 times. I was planning this trip since the early of 2004. That is really unbelieveable, because I was planning with a lot of unknown. I just want this trip full of meaning. Why I ay like this? There are some major things I want to happen on the trip. Don't think too much, I was not going back to marry. Marry is Marry but is not me. I know Yan Naung and Kathy will make their wedding at 2 Jan 2005. I want to join it becuase Yan Naung is my childhood friend. We played and fight together to be grow up. And I know there will most friends will back to Myanmar at that time too. So this is a great time to meet each other at Ygn again. This is the first Major things make me to go back. Second, we also can make our POL to meet also. Third can be count as travel to Inaly and Forth as travel to Bagan. I had never been to Inlay and Bagan, although I was born in Shan State. Rather than some big cities, this 2 places should be go by a people who born in Myanmar. At least I think I should go.

HK Internation Airport:
How a Big and Wonderful airport in the world. Althrough this is not the first time I departure from this airport, I really like to see it. After check in with a friend,we go inside and pass the immigration and custom. Going to buy some Johnny Walker and Malboro. {Wow AT, do you drink and smoke? No, no, this is just a culture that we like to give present to our country people (At least the frist 2 department after we arrive Ygn. ha.ha.ha). After a few time of shopping, we go to waiting place. Waiting for a long time and I told my friend, we going to late, as the Flight hadn't arrive. He told me, "No, the flight already arrive.", I told him, I didn't see the aeroplane. He ask me to go to the edge of the floor. OMG, when I move my head to look down, our aeroplane is already arrived. How a Tiny and cutie aeroplane. We can't see that plane with the horizotal view from our waiting list.

Yangon Internation Airport:
After 3 and half hours of flight, we arrive the Yangon International Airpot. I heard some voice that "Oh.. Myanmar is really Golden Bright" Because they see the terminal with gold color. There is no much problem at arrival Hall. {How a big face of our present!}. Just say Bye bye to my friend and searching my friends who will come to pick me up. Hum... found noone. Just thinking do I tell them the wrong date or time. And I saw Fatty (ZWT), {Thanks Buddha}, at least I don't need to hire a Taxi. And he told me KKS and NL is coming on the way. {I don't know how he sure that they are coming, as we all don't have any mobile phone at that time. Of couse I believe him, they won't let me alone..ha.ha} After sitting at the back of his small Diyinnar (Car), I am cleaning my lagguage. There are so many Lu Jone things. {Before I go back to Myanmar, I research full information, and I don't kow who told me that "This year Ygn is very Cold, This is the coldest year." ha.ha I just think I don't afraid as HK and Ygn winter time is same. And the coldest in HK is about 5~7 C. So I prepare my clothes and go back. When I sitting at Fatty Car, and I felt very hot, so I took my Long Coat, and my Long Shirt. The only thing on my body is my Nightwear. At that time I am thinking, friends who see me will surely think that, "Oh.. AT is so poor that coming back to Ygn with Nightwear". ha.ha.ha I can't care anyone at that time, that is terrible hot. Being choose one from Comfortable and Style, I choose comfortable.}

Yangon:
From the airport to the town, we have 2 cars. I follow Fatty car, KS and NL with KS car. When we arrive to "Han Dar Wa Di Circle" I ask Fatty that "Is today Yangon out of Light (no electricity)?" He answer me "No". I ask him, "No, I can't see any light". And I look carefully and I found that "oh.. really they are switch on their light, but the electric is just very low voltage, so all the light is Dim."

Shwe Bon Dar Street:
To give a Big bag of Lu Join things. We arrive Shwe Bon Dar St where Nit Pat Hla Saloon there. I just watching the changing of the Town (although not much change) from the car and we are seaching for the parking of car. Suddenly, my version is ALL black and only see the light from the car. Awww.... the electricity is really cut out.. Lucky we found the Saloon and we go up 1 Floor which the saloon has. Black and Dark, this is only what I can see. Because just the light is out, so they still searching the candle. Voice is never afraid of Darkness. So I shout "Anyone here". A sound "WHO". "This is Aung Thein, I want to find A Yin Dee." "Aww.. wait, we almost get the candle". See they know me, even i had never been there and never meet with them. They all know me.. {Aww.. AT is a popular guy. There are only 2 kinds of people ar populare, A Bad Guy or A Genious Guy, dont' know which am I}. Arr.. i can see a bright of light. But still very dark. But the time is important for me so i just put all the things on the ground and A Yin Dee give me a pack of money. I can't see her face clearly, I think she also same with me. This is the first time we meet. But we still exchange our things. And I just divide all the Lu Jone Thing on her shop Ground with Grouping. Wish I can help her. But the things are too much, so all the ground is full with thing. I sure she should be more complicate with that Dark environment. Did my good heart, make a bad thing??


Ugenira Restaurant:
Drop my luggage at KKS house, Pick ATH at 23rd, we 5 go to Ugenira to have my favourite "Jae O". Jae O is delicious with Ajinomoto. If no Ajinomoto, Jae O is just a noodle Soup. I eat Ajinomoto although some said it will make Cancel. But I just think, how many people are eating and they still alive. Of couse don't eat too much. Honestly if you eat too much on one thing, you will get sick also. I just want to mean that not only Ajinomoto. I eat Ajinomoto, Jae O have Ajinomot, I like Jae O, this is the triangel relationship between us. .he.he After having with my meal and I found a Man next to our table. He is really look like a Friend who had been to HK. Just a few minute of thinking in my mind, I decide to go to greet him. I got his phone no. and say Bye bye to him.

A bus to Kyit Hti Yo:
Everything is under control as NL booked the bus for us already. There are some points can departure on the bus, we choose San Pya Cinema. We sit and talk for a long time and the bus is not coming. At least it late half to 1 hour. First I sit with ATH and KKS with NL. Phyo Phyo and his 4 friends sit at the last line of the bus. The bus is nice, no middle seat added. So much comfortable. We leave Ygn about at pm 10:00. ATH got sick so he took medicine and going to be sleep. KKS also have time different so he is going to sleep too. So later ATH and NL change the seat. Yes, you are still reading my blogs about 24 Dec. Arr the first night of Myanmar Trip is on the bus. But I am not sleeping, I am talking with NL the whole night on the bus until Kin Pon Sa Kan. The bus is moving, the star is twinkling, the wind is blowing, KKS and ATH is sleeping, NL and I am chatting.

At that time only me and HZA was outside, so we 2 go back to pass the New Century (Y2K) together. We got some sponsor for our New Year Eve party. We go to "Flying Horse - Myin Pyan" Restaurant to have our Dinner wish is Sponsed by HZA family. (Thanks - HZA). We wear the same shirt (Giodano with different color) which are sponsed by At. (Thanks - AT... he.he) {Sorry.. the size is a little complicated}. We go to Inya Lake, Mya Jun Dar Park to take some photos and said we will go to 23rd St. That time I was with KH and 2 of us arrive. "Where are the rest?" Oh.. here they are, but that is already 00:20. May be this will be black spot on my memory. But we still have a good time. At least we make it out to be together. But that nihgt AKS was going to Chung Thar.

*24 Dec 2004 ~ 7 Jan 2005*

We get a chance to see each other again. This time KKS was already outside. So we say we 3 (AT, KKS, HZA) back to MM. That is a long time plan since the early of 2004, we are planning. Because we know if we back that time, we can join Yan Naung and Kathy Wedding also. That is a good time to back and visit. Here now Dec 2004 arrived, HZA told me that he had some reason that he won't back to MM. It really hurt me. On the month of Dec, I dont know why i can't contact to KH. He is totally disappear. I saw him only when I almost back to HK 2 days before. At least I saw him. AKS he said he will come to Ygn when we arrive. What???? In real, when we arrive Ygn, he said he can't leave MDY. Anyway this is the different life, we are passing.
In this trip (I will expend more), I have really good memories on my life. {only bad thing is I didn't meet most of POL} Everything is smooth and success. That should be really Thanks to KKS.
